Tool/software:
Question #1:
Paragraph 6.3 of DLA Drawing ref.: V62/20606 states that top side marking should be “ODB” . However, these parts received with DC 2236 have marking “1I7”, which is the part marking required by TI datasheet.
Please see attached images.
-Is this part marking “1I7” compatible with the code “ODB”?
-If “ODB” is an acronym used by TI, which is the meaning?
We believe “ODB” is a generic designation linked to each manufacturer (like the example of acronym TBC = To Be Confirmed), so TI would be applying the corresponding one, that would be “1I7”.
- Could you please confirm that this approach is correct?
- Do you know what "ODB" stands for exactly?
Question #2:
The applicable datasheet states lead finish = “NIPDAU”, but the DLA Drawing ref.: V62/20606 states Lead finish = “Gold flash palladium”.
-Which is the real lead finish: NIPDAU or Gold flash palladium?
-Are both options indeed the same kind of lead finish?
TI Application Report SZZA031 - December 2001 states that NiPdAu is not an alloy, but an identification of the individual layers applied over the base material:
Therefore, finish stated in DLA drawing “Gold flash palladium” would be compatible with this structure of layers associated with “NiPdAu” finish.
- Could you please confirm that this approach is correct?
