AWR1843BOOST: Beam steering function test and verification.

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

Tool/software:

Hi:

I would like to know if there is way that we can verify the beam steering is operated as we expected, either with MRR demo or our self-modified project.

Currently I'm now moving the beam steering feature from MRR demo into the OOB demo based project, and I checked that my configuration is correct since the configuration procedure shows no error (but I'm not sure if my phase shift configuration is operated at the correct point from the view of the whole configuration flow). Currently I would like to know if there is a way to verity the beam steering is working. From my research experience, when we steer both TX and RX beams into a specific direction, the AOA from the same target should change accordingly, and if we only steer TX beam, we should be able to focus on target at the steered  angle. However, since we only have three antennas so I believe the beam width is still too larget to eliminate the other targets that are not located at the steered angle. So is there a quick and solid way that I can verify if my beam steering is working?
