IWRL6432BOOST: Vital Signs Demo Not Working

Part Number: IWRL6432BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am running the vital signs demo for IWRL6432BOOST. The patient status, breath rate, heart rate & range bin are always undefined, regardless how still and how long I sit in front of the EVM. I see point clouds & boxes in the 3D plot. Are there any specific requirements for this demo to work?

Best regards,
Weng Fei

  • Hi

Can you please send us the screenshot of the visualizer you are seeing?

If you are able to see the point cloud and the box, it indicates you are being tracked correctly. The HR/BR should change from undefined to updating when you are being tracked

Ideally, you should see the vitals updated in the visualizer after about 20 seconds from being tracked

Which version of the radar tool box are you using?

    Regards

  • Hi Abhishek,

I am using the latest SDK (05.05.03.00) & toolbox (3.20.00.04).

The issue is precisely that the HR/BR did not change from undefined after more than 20s of being still.

Here's a screenshot of the visualizer.

    Best regards,
    Weng Fei

  • Hi

    Thanks for all the details.

Visualizer in radar toolbox version radar_toolbox_3_20_00_04 has problems in displaying the vital statistics. We will fix it in the next version. Please use the below visualizer for IWR6843 vital signs

    radar_toolbox_1_30_01_03\tools\visualizers\Industrial_Visualizer\mmWave_Industrial_Visualizer.exe
