Hi,

I am trying to create a setup, where we can use mmwave to detect human vitals as well as fall.

I came across a whitepaper –

This almost matches my requirements.

We got one of https://www.ti.com/tool/IWR6843AOPEVM,

Unfortunately links for this new dev kit are way fuzzier. It didn’t lead me anywhere regarding vitals and fall detection. So, I searched internet to find a way to make it work. Found following Sources-

Even when I found the mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_12_1 tried to load examples from it . Still do not see anything showing up in –

labs\Vital_Signs\68xx_vital_signs\gui\gui_exe\ VitalSignsRadar_Demo.exe

I made sure to load the prebuilt firmware from –

labs\Vital_Signs\68xx_vital_signs\prebuilt_binaries

After that I again tried board IWR6843AOPEVM, with radar_toolbox_3_20_00_04.

Here my observation is -

observed point clouds showing in the industrial visualizer still no vitals. 

Here used following –

radar_toolbox_3_20_00_04\source\ti\examples\Industrial_and_Personal_Electronics\Vital_Signs\Vital_Signs_With_People_Tracking\prebuilt_binaries\ vital_signs_tracking_6843AOP_demo.bin

Config:

radar_toolbox_3_20_00_04\source\ti\examples\Industrial_and_Personal_Electronics\Vital_Signs\Vital_Signs_With_People_Tracking\chirp_configs\ vital_signs_AOP_2m.cfg

Visualizer:

radar_toolbox_3_20_00_04\tools\visualizers\Applications_Visualizer\Industrial_Visualizer

 

Any help to make it work will be highly appreciated.

    There is a bug in the latest visualizer version(radar_toolbox_3_20_00_04). Please use the visualizer from the below location

    radar_toolbox_1_30_01_03\tools\visualizers\Industrial_Visualizer\mmWave_Industrial_Visualizer.exe

    You can use the prebuilt binary from the below location

    radar_toolbox_1_30_01_03\source\ti\examples\Medical\Vital_Signs_With_People_Tracking\prebuilt_binaries

    Do note that only pre built binary is shared for Vitals demo on IWR6843, source code is not shared.

    Alternatively, you can look at the Vitals demo on IWRL6432 where source code is also provided. You can find it in the below location

    Thanks for your help. 

    Using radar_toolbox_1_30_01_03 I could setup vital detection with breathing and heartbeat,

    Even though it is some time giving erroneous value, at least I see something meaningful showing up most of the time.

    Still, I enabled fall detection in the same industrial visualizer but do not see it getting detected. 

    Also, Where can I get the visualizer used for this following video demo?
