AWRL6432: How to eliminate the Acoustic Noise

Part Number: AWRL6432

Tool/software:

Hello Team,

Customer will use AWRL6432 with MIC (for Built-in Camera system), in that case the acoustic noise is big issue for the system.

  1. Is there any way to eliminate the acoustic noise when using the Radar (AWRL6432)?
Have you ever received such a request before? Could you let us know if there are any ways to reduce or eliminate the noise?

  2. Could you please check if the output power waveform of the AWRL6432 chip below is normal?
(Customer need to verify the internal power of the AWRL6432 while reviewing the acoustic noise issue.)

=> Active & Sleep (during every frame)
=> VOUT_14SYNTH seems similar with Chirp, Is it normal waveform?

Lina

  • Hi, Lina:

Thank you for sending over your question through e2e.  One of our hardware engineer will get back to you soon.

    Best,

  • Hi Lina,
     1. Can you please elaborate what do you mean by acoustic noise? Does AWRL6432 PCB producing noise on audible range?

      2. Power supply waveform looks good to me. These variations are based on sensor operation (Active, Deep sleep etc)

    Thanks,

  • Hi, sivaprasad K L
I'm Jake Ann from Lina's client company.
    1. Acoustical noise of the same frequency (approximately 2.8 kHz) as the chirp period occurs on the pcb. The waveform of the current consumption is as below. Is there any way to improve this noise in AWRL6432?
    2. You said the voltage waveform of VOUT_14SYNTH is normal, is there a way to keep the voltage from fluctuating? (To reduce acoustic noise)
