IWR6843ISK: Source code unavailable.

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843, IWRL6432

Dear TI Team,
I am using IWR6843ISK, to develop a heart rate monitoring device using mm wave radar sensors. However, during initial testing, I have observed IWR6843ISK is giving less accuracy as compared to test performed using other mm wave radar sensors like LD6002 (that too with significant margins). I shall appreciate if you can provide me the access to DSS/MSS source code (Vital Signs with People Tracking) to manually tune the MIN_RANGE_BIN for near-field use along with other essential parameters. Thank you

  • Hi

IWR6843 Vitals signs source code is no longer shared. Alternatively, you can use the vitals demo on IWRL6432 which is provided along with the source code.

You can find the IWRL6432 vitals signs demo at the below link

  • Hi,

Thanks for your response. However, it is quite limiting that even after investing in the IWR6843 platform, the vital signs source code is no longer accessible, which makes development and customization difficult.

Regarding your suggestion to use the IWRL6432 vital signs demo, I understand it is available with source code, but it is built on a different single-core architecture (R4F), whereas the IWR6843 uses a dual-core MSS + DSS (C674x DSP) structure. Given this difference, how can the processing logic from the 6432 demo be adapted or mapped to the 6843 architecture—specifically in terms of splitting signal processing into DSS and control/communication into MSS, and identifying equivalent implementations for phase extraction, filtering, and heart rate estimation within the mmWave SDK?
