TMP235: TMP235 - 125C vs 150C variant - availability issue

Part Number: TMP235

Hi !

My current design includes TMP235AEDCKRQ1, which is rated for -40C to +150C ambient temperature. However, I noticed that this component is not available anymore on the market. There is a 125C variant - TMP235AQDCKRQ1 - is available, with exact specifications. 

 

What happens if I use this 125C variant for conditions where the junction temperature can reach 130-135°C? And what happens if the same happens for ambient temperature?

 

This will greatly help me to continue the project. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello!

    In this case both of these parts are the same die, so they will act the same.

    If you are happy with the accuracy and behavior of the TMP235AEDCKRQ1 at your operating temperatures, the TMP235AQDCKRQ1 should behave the same at those temperatures. We can't guarantee the behavior and accuracy above the recommended temperature, but I would continue to use it.

    Additionally there is another package available that is guaranteed to 150C, TMP235AEDBZRQ1.
