AWR2188: TDM operation

I am developing the multichip configuration in using AWR2188. The Tx firing is in squention order between different chips (4). Two select the chips between different chips would it an extermal multiplexer is needed. the frame syn will trigger the start of frame and first Tx channel fire one chirp... and it will be switching sequentially between different tx of the first chip. Then it need to go to the next chip and start fireing there. How can we do this ? It will need an external mux?

No external MUX should be needed. In a cascaded AWR2188 system, all devices are synchronized, and you can control the TX firing order through the chirp configuration. The TX enable masks and chirp schedule for each device, rather than by adding external switching hardware. The cascade architecture is designed to allow the devices to operate as one synchronized radar system.

So, we donot need any external mux to operate in TDM fashion. But what if we donot have any master chip and we need to setup TDM firing between the chips. We will share the Lo from an external generator. The ref clock is also sent through external clock distributor and frame sync also thru external trigger. How we can operate and what additional components are required for this

Hello,

What master chip are you referring to? How many chips are you trying to cascade? Which revision boards are you using? If you are using AWR2188EVMRevC with DCA2000EVMRevB, you can refer to this:
