TMP006 Single Conversion Configuration

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP006

Hi.  We are using a TMP006 temperature sensor.  It says in the spec (Configuration Register) that it can initiate a single conversion.  Other than that it only says the MOD[2:0] bits can be set to

000 = Power-down

111 = Sensor and ambient continuous conversion (MOD)

On the TMP006EVM I have it has a Sensor and Ambient One-Shot option.

 Is there a single shot conversion cycle?

Please advise

  • Hello Murray,

    Writing MOD[2:0] = 001 will initiate a single-shot conversion. However these bits do not reset, so in order to trigger a subsequent single-shot conversion you will have to write 000 followed by another 001 when you want the next conversion to execute.
