LM96080 - Connect NTEST_IN/RESET_IN directly to power supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM96080

Hello,

For the LM96080, the customer would like to know if it's okay to connect the "NTEST_IN/RESET_IN" directly to the power supply?

  • Hi Amy,

Pin 12 (NTEST_IN/RESET_IN) is a digital input pin, and when the customer applies a logic zero to this pin, the device will be placed in NAND tree test mode. This mode will allow the user to detect if any of the inputs to the NAND tree is opened.

Connecting the NTEST_IN/RESET_IN pin directly to power supply should not pose any risk to the customer’s application. As I recall, when I applied pin 12 to V+, the device operates in normal condition. However, when the customer connects pin 12 to V+, then they cannot place the device in NAND tree test mode.

I hope this answers your question.  Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Aaron
