Hi,
I have used hot gun to mount one TMP006 chip on a new board. The hot gun is Steinel 3483. It was set to 310 degree.
Solder flux was applied before soldering. The flux type is Alpha NR-205. The flux was cleaned by ultrasonic cleaner later.
Afterwards, I mounted the board in a plastic box with Fresnel lenses. The focus distance was satisfied. I did the calibration. S0 was about 5.0E-15.
When I put a bottle of hot water in front of TMP006, the calculated result was 42 degree at begining. After a while, it rose gradually. Several minutes it reached 62 degree.
