Unable to run SensorEval Application

I'm not sure if I'm posting this to the correct forum. None of the Application forums covers the SensorEval app so I'm trying this forum.

I'm unable to run SensorEval v1.2.1 under Windows XP 5.1 (Build 2600, SP3). The error I get is:

comdlg32.ocx is a CMDialog ActiveX Control required to run Visual Basic apps. The file was not bundled with the SensorEval installation package. Nor does is exist anywhere on my drive, unfortunately. Since TI is the application developer, I believe you're required to distribute this with builds. It's not available for download on Microsoft.com nor apparently anywhere on ti.com. There are bootleg copies on a few shady websites, however, I'm 100% unwilling to go that route. Could someone please send me the required file? Thanks.

Hi Chris,

I'm so sorry that you had to go through this trouble. Here is the file that you were looking for. The website does not allow me to upload this file, so I need to zip the file before I can upload. Please unzip the file, and place the file into this directory "c:\windows\system32\".

Please let me know if you have further question.

Hello, I'm not able to run sensoreval on my virtual XP PC. Below message pop up when I start the tool.

My laptop was win 7 64 bit so not able to run the tool but after I install virtual XP below errow shows up.

Is there any way to run this tool with win 7 64 bit machine? It's the system most user used now.

Hi Sam,

To be honest with you, I haven't try with virtual XP before; however, there is a work-around to use the SensorEval software on a Window 7 PC. The disadvantage is that when you restart the computer then you need to reconfigure it again. Let me know if you are interested. I will send the instruction offline.

Hi Sam,

I will send you the instruction shortly. Just to let you know that we are currently re-spinning the EVMs to work with Window XP or later. May I ask what device you are using with SensorEval software?
