Inquiry regarding output logic level of TMP302

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP302

Hello, all

I would like to ask you regarding the definition of output logic level on TMP302.

On page 3 of the datasheet of this device, only VOL is defined as "0 to 0.4" (VS > 2V) or "0 to 0.2*VS" (VS < 2V).

However, I could not find the definition of VOH logic level.

Please let us clarify on which level is VOH defined.

We thank in advance for your information.

Best regards,

  • Hello, again

With regard to the inquiry above, please let us know whether our understanding is correct. (This is base on the description of page 6 of the datasheet.)

    VOH(MIN) = 0.7V × VS

    VOH(MAX) = VS

We thank you once again for your confirmation.

    Best regards,

  • Hello Atsushi-san,

The reason why VOH is not specified where as only VOL is specified in the data sheet is because the output pin is open drain configured. The output pin /OUT is active LOW and is an open drain configuration due to which only VOL is relevant in this case.

With regards to your  recent post regarding the voltage range being 0.7V × Vs to Vs  to detect a Voltage High(Logic 1)  in Page 6 of the data sheet is with respect to the TRIPSET pin, which is an input pin.

Hope my explanation clears your doubt.
