Inductive sense push button in commercial kitchen

Hello,

I am thinking to use LDC1000 based push buttons. The operating environment is kitchen (restaurant, food factory). Is it a good/suitable application for LDC1000? Is cap sense better? In addition to LDC1000, I am also thinking to add haptic feedback by DRV260x.

Hello Panson,

Such application is ideal for LDC technology as it is immune to contaminants such as water, oil, food etc., which can greatly degrade cap sensor performance.

Playing off of Panson's question, would there be any concern for electromagnetic interference from a nearby AC voltage line?

No, as the frequencies are immensely different.
