LDC1000 using two coils

Hi, TI expert

Can I connect two coils to one LDC1000 through an analog switch chip and using micro_controller controls coils switch?

I have two reasons for this connection:

1. for temperature compensate

2. avoid two LDC chips A/D converter variables

If it is can be used, what switch time parameters have to be concerned?

    Hi David,

    Yes, this is possible.  The time parameters of concern are:

    1. LC tank frequency

    2. Output Data Rate

    To minimize issues the two sensor coils should be the same.

    The analog switching rate must be significantly larger (10-20x) than your LC tank frequency to minimize interference, but this depends on your bandwidth requirements.
