LDC1000 - NFC interference

Guru 21045 points

Hi,

Our customer would like to use LDC1000 with NFC(Near Field Communication).

But, they are concerned that LDC1000 may adversely affect NFC.

Does LDC1000 adversely affect NFC?

(Example; “Communication error of the NFC by the noise” etc…)

If yes, we would like to ask you the better way.

Could you please give us your advice.

Regards,

Kanemaru

  • Hi,

Thank you always for your kind support.

    Any update on this issue?

Could you kindly give us an answer by the end of the week?

I’m looking forward to your reply.

  • Hi Kanemaru,

Can you be more specific as to what sort of sensing the customer wants to do and how close will the sensor be to the NFC coil?

The problem with NFC is that the spectral envelope can be as large as 1.8MHz with ASK and that its second fundamental harmonic might be close to your LC tank oscillation frequency.

You can try this out with the EVM coil in-between or near an active NFC modulator, such as the TRF7960.

    Thanks,
