TMP300 settling time

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP300

I am planning on using the TMP300 for a low power application where the device willl onl be powered on when required. What is the settling period for this device I have assumed that its in the <1ms period. Also I have assumed that the output is active low since it is an open collector configuration so I have assumed that a power up the output will be high (external pull-up ) until the temperature threshold is met- then pulled low. Can anybody help?

  • Hello Jason,

Thanks for your interest in TMP300. Yes, your assumptions are correct - the output is active low(open drain) and its a default high due to the external pull-up you will be adding. Around 1ms after power will be a good enough time for the output to settle. Do let me know if you have any further questions.
