I'm experimenting with the LDC1000EVM kit. It's not clear to me what the purpose of the sensor frequency register is. According to the DS it should be set at a about the resonance frequency of the tank minus 20%. But the value doesn't seem to make any obvious difference to the behaviour. It also doesn't apear in any of the formulas needed to calculate Rp or L.
Is this some internal optimization value that the designer doesn't have to worry about or am I missing something?
