How can I make a skin temprature monitor for children?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Hello,

we are planning to make a body temperature monitor for childs, based on cc2540/1,and send the result to mobile.

that means

we want the accuracy should be +/- 0.03 degree on a range of 35~50 degree,on another word,a result like 37.1 should be believable.

the sensor need to be paste under the child's arm, so it should be very thin(0.5mm is a understandable)

and we are planning to connect the sensor to the controller by clothes-covered-wires.

and of course, the sensor should have a interface to cc2540/1.

we did think about to use a therm with a adc,but it would need a long wire between them, because  it is not comfortable to put the adc chip under children's arm..we are worried about accuracy may be influenced by the long wire.

Could you give me a suggestion?

thanks.

  • Hello Lance,

If I haven't mistaken, you must be part of the the University of Arizona student project working on skin temperature measurement. From our interaction earlier this week it looks like you are actually  interested in cc2540. Can you please rephrase your question accordingly and post your question in wireless forum.

    Thanks,

    Abhi
