tmp441 --remote temperature error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DXP, TMP441

hi,all

i use a  2N3906 transistor connect to  DXP and DXN of tmp441, when i try to use tmp441 to read remote temperature ,i found it measure the room temperature(now is 27 C)   more than 50 C. Can you tell me how can i read the remote temperature right?

Also i try to write value into following regester to make correction, then i  measure room temperature right

but when i measure another temperature i have known(such as 70C),i read  may be lower than 60 C.

it sounds  that when i rise the temperature 5 C,i read the remote temperature may only rise such as 1C.

i need your help!

thank you !

  • Hi,

we are looking into the issue you are facing.  Can you please provide us additional details so we can help you?  please provide the register contents for any register that you have written to, in other words please provide any non-default register values to us.   Please also provide the temperature register contents for both the local and remote temperature sensors.  Are you configuring as a diode connection or transistor conmection?  Please refer to figure 10 in the data sheet.  How much series resistance do you think you have with the connection to the remote diode?  Does the error you get seem random or is it fairly repeatable?  Do you use a filter capacitor at the DXP/DXN inputs?  Do you estimate any leakage at DXP/DXN?  Please refer to figure 3.

  • hi,

maybe i have solved the problem

    thank you all the same
