Why LMT86 output not as SPEC?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMT86

HI,

I use LMT86 with supply voltage 5.3V decoupled with 0.1uF.

The output voltage is devided with resistor 1M and 20K. The 20K resistor parallel with 22uF.

At room temperature 30 deg. C, the output pin of LMT86 is about 2.3V.

It is not the same with data sheet  1.8V.

Why?

  • Hi Shih,

Sorry but I don’t understand you question fully, so please forgive me if I don’t answer it the first time around.

    Is this your schematic?

    1.  If so and you are using the SC70 package please make sure you have pins 1 and 2 tied to ground and pins 4 and 5 tied to your Vdd.
    2.  Make sure your power supply is indeed 5.3V.

The output of the LMT86 should be at 1.831V at 25C if 1 and 2 are correct you can't leave any pins float.

     Take care,
