Hello,
i made a first sampling of a linear position sensor based on inductive technology using a LDC1000. I carried out some test in a temperature chamber to evaluate the Thermal drift of the sensor. The functional temperature range of the sensor is -40°C to +125°C.
The test have been carried out putting my sensor in a climatic room with a metal target in a fixed position, so the output of my sensor is locked to a fixed value.
The test showed a bad Thermal drift behavior. The output signal change more than 2V/3V (in a range of 0.5V - 4.5V out). By means of a data logger, i've experienced that "Proximity Data" (register 0x21 and 0x22) also change by 2000/3000 digital values over a 100°C interval.
From the TI AN (Temperature Compensation), the error seem very small. According to you, is my Thermal drift normal?
Best regards
