Which data change is more sensitive - proximity or inductance?

Hi,

what data are better suited for the purpose of distance evaluation: proximity data or inductance data, - in case of

using a moderate conductive target material (construction steel)?

Best wishes,

  • Hi Igor,

Both will indicate the distance. The proximity data has better sensitivity to distance, but at the same time is more sensitive to temperature change. So, use L if the data is good enough for your application, so that your result is more temperature stable.
