LDC1000 without INTB Functionality

I want to use LDC1000 for Linear position measurement. But I don’t have any extra GPIO for INTB Pin.

When I checked the LDC1000 datasheet, there is a mode for disabling INTB functionality.

This can be achieved by setting Field “Mode” in “Address = 0x0A” to value “000: All modes disabled”

I am not sure that it will impact the functionality/working of sensor. Will I be able to read the position from sensor with regular SPI configuration (without INTB)?

Hello Yogesh,

You do not need to use the INTB pin to retrieve the conversion results via SPI. While the INTB pin can provide a useful Data Ready signal, this is optional, and the data would need to be read via SPI anyway.

The sensor operation is unaffected if the INTB pin is not used. In fact, you do not even need to change the INTB pin mode; simply leave it unconnected if you do not have available GPIOs.
