How to solve the unstable output of the proximity ?

Hello E2E community,

When I test the LDC1000 PCB designed by myself , it comes a question, the output of the proximity is unstable. At first ,I thought it is the problem of my software , but I can read and set the registers correctly, so maybe something wrong designed in my PCB .

In my design, I use stm32f103rc MCU as the main control chip, and set it's pwm wave output as LDC1000‘s TBCLK , the frequency is 6M .There is little distortion of the PWM wave .

My printed coil is designed in the web "http://webench.ti.com/webench5/ldc/#

  • Hello Stefan,

The choice of Cfb capacitor is critical. Could you please measure the response on it and verify you have a 1Vpp response? Please, refer to the page 13 of the datasheet. Also, please verify the layout (bypass capacitors should be placed as close to the pins as possible).

    Best Regards,
