Differnce between Rp and L detect(LDC1xxx)

I think LDC1xxx is supporting Rp and L detect.
What kind of application is each mode suitable for?

Hello Noda,

This was my first questions when I started working with LDC devices!

We recommend using L measurements for most application. Metal composition sensing requires using Rp. Rp can also be used in distance sensing if the target changes its magnetic properties at the sensor operating frequency. We will be publishing an app note regarding this in late March. Please, let me know if you have any other questions.
