TMP006EVM Object Temp Reading Issue

Hi,

I am using TMP006EVM to measure temperature of an object and study its performance.

I had made a setup with TMP006EVM and target object temp set to 45DegC, initially I could see correct readings.

When I started the same experiment after some time, and brought the EVM close to the target object temp reading was 110DegC.

After that I switched off and started the the EVM, I found still object temp measurement is fixed at 74.8DegC and Local temp is around 60.8DegC.

Trying to understand what could have gone wrong with the TMP006EVM?

    Rajesh,

     When you move the device back to the original position does the device read correctly?  One thing I can tell you is that the local temp sensor out of the box is very accurate.  So if you don't believe the local temp output of the TMP006  that should be our trouble shooting start point.  Is the TMP006EVM board getting hot?

    Hi Tommy,

    I wish you had a very joyful Easter.

    When I moved the EVM to its original position then also local and object temp readings are showing same values.

    Also I have checked the pcb carefully for any damage, it is all right, all the voltages are as expected.

    I am able to write the registers of the TMP006.
