LDC1614

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1614

Hello,

I printed some inductors using the webench tools to use on the LDC1614 EVM.  I made the inductor's to have about the same inductance and size as the one that comes with the LDC1614 EVM as a test in order to check that the inductors were being made correctly.  When I connect the inductors to the EVM, it reads the desired inductance I designed for (~19uH), but the problem is that the readings on the EVM graph shows that the values just jump between 0uH and 19uH erratically.  What is different about my inductors is that I have not soldered a surface mount ceramic capacitor to it yet.  I simply attached a couple of 5cm long wires from the inductor to a breadboard which has a 330pf capacitor.  I was thinking maybe the length of the wires may be causing this.  Could anyone provide some information on how I could fix this issue?

Thank you

Manuel
