TMP441 /About unused the DXP/DXN.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DXP, TMP441

HI all.

I would like to know about treatment of  the unused DXP/DXN pin of TMP441.

The datasheet P.16 of TMP441 shows "Unused DXP channels can be left open or tied to GND"
Can we do unused DXN pin same treatment of the unused DXP?
If we must do different treatment, please tell me the method.

Best Regard,
Sho Ogane

  • Hi Sho,

Unused remote channels can be left open, but we recommend tie DXP and DXN together, and further ground them. The purpose is to prevent erroneous warnings. This was mentioned on P20, in the “Sensor Fault” section.

I'm curious to ask why did you choose TMP441 but not using its remote channel? Is there a particular feature that you need on this device?
