Hi,
I am using a LDC1000 Evaluation Module to monitor the distance between a coil (2x115 turns, sensor capacitor: 22pF) and a round metal plate (diametre=20 mm).
In my first setup, the coil is fixed 11 mm above the metal plate. In my second set up, the distance coil-plate is the same, the wires linking the coil to the LDC1000 are shorter and the LDC1000 lies vertically instead of horizontally. In both cases, I record the frequency in the coil during a few seconds. In the first setup the measurements are very stables (even so there is some noise) but in the second one I get some jumps/variations (see pictures).
Any idea of what it is due to?
