TDC1000C2000 EVM board for Gas flow meter

Hello,

I got myself a tdc1000C2000 board. Can this board be also used for gas flow meter purposes or its only meant for fluid identification

    Hi Swati,

    No, unlike the GUI for TDC1000-TDC7200EVM, The TDC1000-C2000 EVM's GUI does not support measurement of delta-TOF . This board was intended for level application in which power consumption and very high (ps) time measurement accuracy is not required.  The GUI and the firmware of the TDC1000-C2000EVM needs to be modified to include flow-measurement mode.

    I would like to do the same thing. Has TI done the modification to the TDC1000-C2000EVM to enable flow sensing? Can it be shared?

    No, the TDC1000-C2000EVM is indented for level application only. In level applications the power consumption and accuracies are relatively relaxed . The utility gas flow-meter products are battery operated and require extremely low power consumption that is not supported by C2000. For water flow application the second limiting factor in using C2000 is the timer resolution and accuracy, therefore, you would need a high accuracy timer such as TDC7200.
