TDC1000 for cold water meter application

Hello,

One of our customers is developing a cold water meter and has some questions regards this topic:

  1. Is it possible to develop a water meter without any temperature probes (like PT500, PT1000) and perform calculations regardless of the temperature of the water?
  2. Do you have a current consumption measurement result for a complete water meter design like TIDM-ULTRASONIC-FLOW-TDC kit?www.ti.com/.../TIDM-ULTRASONIC-FLOW-TDC
  3. What is the calibration method you recommend for a design with TDC1000 & TDC7200? (Are there some kind of app note for this procedure?
  4. How many calibration points needed?
  5. Is it possible to calibrate the meter on a single temperature point?
