Hi People,

I am a UG student from Bengaluru, India. I am trying to find a low cost IR sensor which I wanna use to detect human heat signatures. I am a rookie and i am looking at basic level to start with and understand how the sensors exactly detect heat signatures as my objective is to find a way to pass through these sensors without getting detected.

P.S. this is not intended for any crime :)

Hi Siddu,

Thanks for your post. TI offers two IR thermal sensors. Both are single pixle sensors. TMP006 and TMP007. The difference between these is that the TMP007 has an integrated math engin. The sensors are the same. Please take some time at TI.com to review the data sheets, and users guides. Our TMP007EasyCal EVM is the best way to get your hands on one of these devices and learn how they work. Once you have reiviewed the material, and have spacific questions, i'll be glad to help.
