I’m looking for a temperature device where I can attach a resistor to set when a particular temperature has been read.
As an example, if I attach a 10K resistor it will output a low when 65C is met or I could attach a 8.2K and the device will output at 62C. In other words a full temperature module in a SOT123, with an output that triggers at a certain temperature set by an external resistor.
I don’t need super accuracy – say +-2.5C.
Do we have anything like this?

The device you are looking for is called the TMP708. Below you'll find a quick schematic showing a typical application. Please go to the product folder on our website (http://www.ti.com/product/tmp708) for further information. As you an see, the device can be set to trip to values between 0 deg C and 125 deg C by using a single resistor. When the device senses the temperature crossing the threshold set by the resistor, the OT pin, which is open-drain, will alarm your MCU. The device comes in a small 5-pin SOT-23. One last comment. If the hysteresis value is not to your liking we have the TMP709 with 2 deg C or 10 deg C. The TMP708 offers 10 deg C or 30 deg C.
