the tmp 112 sensor is too minute.  How to bring the same into the contact with Skin.  Is it must to touch the skin or the placement can be closer to the skin. 

can we use the tmp007 instead of tmp112 to get the temperature sensor of the human.

    Hi,

     

    The TMP112 and TMP007 can both be used to measure skin temperature. But they are completely different in physics. TMP112 is based on the temperature characteristics of diode and TMP007 is based on Seebeck effect . TMP112 is a local sensor while TMP007 is a remote IR sensor.

     

    While direct contact is not required, a low resistance thermal path between the heat source and TMP112 is a must for TMP112 to measure the target temperature accurately.

     

    TMP007 can sense the target temperature through the IR signature of the target object. Given there are other important factors to consider, as long as the IR radiation from the target object can reach TMP007, it will be able to measure the temperature.
