We have both the LDC1614 and 100 EVMs and the signal strength from insulating objects is the same as for metallic ones. We are using out-of-the-box default settings. I have seen elsewhere in this forum that insulators may introduce a capacitive effect. Do you think this is the case? And more importantly, how do we set up the device such that it can detect metallic objects in the vicinity of insulators?
