Hi Michael, my requirement is to either integrate the sensor into a water pump or place it on the pump to detect overheating. Either way, the sensor needs to transmitt data via wifi for historical collection and analysis. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the help.

The advantage of using the LMT01 is its accuracy profile is only 0.5C at -20C to 90C and 0.7C at -50C to 150C. It comes in a TO-92S package which makes it easy to place into a metal probe (See the two above links). The LMT01 is also a two wire part which means you have less wires to route out compared to a typical temperature sensor IC.
