shutdown mode for TMP102

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP102

Dear Technical Support Team,

I have two question about shutdown mode for TMP102.

1.)

Dose it keep the register values during/after shutdown?

(for example, High- and Low-Limit Registers)

2.)

When dose temp register update latest data?

After 26ms(typ) from start of conversion such as following figure?

Best Regards,

  • Hi Y.I.,

When the device is placed in a shutdown mode, all the internal analog circuitry is powered down except the communication protocol. The value of all the registers are programmed prior to the execution of SD bit will retain the same. Once the SD bit is set, then the device reinitiates the conversion; therefore, the device will update the temperature register after the conversion is completed.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have further question.
