The TMP006 and TMP007 are nearly ideal for an application of mine, except for the very wide field of view. Is it possible with any sort of optics to modify its FOV to essentially take a "point" measurement?

Hi Brian,
Unfortunately, we have little information on this topic. It is possible to restrict FOV simply by placing a cover with hole over the device, but it will reduce performance/sensitivity. Please see page 24 of the TMP006 and TMP007 Layout and Assembly Guide.
