HDC1000 out of tolerence

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HDC1000, HDC1008, HDC1050

We're using HDC1000YPAT, date code 1540 on one of our products. We followed the recommendations for soldering - IR oven, peak temp 230C for 30sec, and for re-hydrating 12h at 50C and 45%RH. The sensors still are out of tolerance.  Do they need more time to stabilize? We are supposed to release the new product next week but at this point we cannot sell the sensors because of this issue. Please let me know what we can do to bring it back in tolerance.

Thank you,

Madalin Cirstea

  • Hi Madalin,
To accelerate the settling process after soldering, we suggest to store the PCB containing the HDC1000 at 85% RH, 85 degrees C for 12 hours.
We are going to release an updated HDC1000 Datasheet with the correct re-hydration procedure on our webpage very soon. In the meanwhile please refer to the section 9.3.2 of the HDC1008 or HDC1050 Datasheets.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Best regards,
    Carmine
