Hello Team,

Regarding the following thread, there are examples of cover or window material.

Do you have any certain window material of the followings which has been tested at TI or have proven design ? If so, it would be appreciated if you could tell us the manufacturer and the part number.

- CLEAR TALLIUM BROMOLODIDE KRS-6
- CESIUM IODIDE Csl
- SODIUM CHLORIDE NaCl
- POTASSIUM BROMIDE KBr
- POTASSIUM CHLORIDE KCl
- CESIUM BROMIDE CsBr
- CALCIUM FLORIDE CaF2
- BARIUM FLUORIDE BaF2

Hi Kawai-san,

I have confirmed with my colleague. The only one material in your list that we have tried is Sodium Chloride. It about 85% efficient at passing IR in the target range. We have also tested another material Zinc Selenide, and it turned out to be a good one too.

Hi Kawai-san,

We got most of the materials from Edmonds Optics. These are available in a single quantity and thickness, but it might be a bit expensive. I attached a photo of the part number, and the website link. I think there is a local office in your area. You might need to contact them if you need further info on the materials.

I think if you plan to go production with desired size, thickness, and volume. It will bring the price down significantly.
