TDC7200 INTB pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDC7200, TDC1000

Hello, I am working TDC7200 that connected to TDC1000 to measure the time of flight. In the TDC7200 data sheet i read this: INTB must be utilized to determine TDC measurement completion. How it should be utilized and what is the meaning of (Open Drain) in the specification of the pin?

Thank you

  • Ahmed,
As you're building a flow system you really should look at the schematics for the TDC1000-TDC7200 EVM (www.ti.com/.../sniu021) and use it as a starting point for your design.

You'll want to connect both the TDC1000 ERR pin and the TDC7200 INTB pin to (~10K) pullups and monitor them with your cpu. Open-Drain means it requires a 1-10k pullup to the digital VDD (VDDIO) to observe it change logic state from a 0 to a 1.
