Can you provide a bit more information on the role of ILLUM_PWM_CTRL and ILLUM_PWR_SYNC pins? I assume the ILLUM_FB pin works the same as on OPT8241/9221.
In general, I would really appreciate a reference schematic, even if you don't have kits for sale yet - the parts are available so you must know at least how to test them :-)

We don't currently have a reference schematic for the DCDC converter. We can help you with the design. The PWM_CTRL and the PWM_SYNC pins control the switch inputs for the DCDC converter. It's supposed to be a replacement for external DCDC converters in case you can't find any.
The general idea is to use it as follows:
