OP3001 fiber optic use

Expert 2065 points

Hello,

I am looking at a possibility to detect light data from optic fiber , this application is for a wearable device so i need also a very low power consumption reason why i turned to this sensor. However i have three questions.

1./ can we use this sensor to detect light from an optic fiber if we consider the termination of the optic fiber will be placed close enough the sensor ?

2./ We don't need to have very high frequency data rate but we still need to be able to sample properly, what are the limitations for it

3./ which color or wavelength would be best for this application ?

Your answers are well appreciated.

Regards
