INTB pin and ERRP pin of TDC

Hello,

I am working with ultrasonic water flow sensor and TDC1000/TDC7200 and every thing go fine. I am able to see the excitation pulses, received echo,start and stop pulses. My problem is that neither the INTB pin of TDC7200 nor the ERRP pin of TDC1000 are working as intended, i am connecting them with the internal pull up resistors of the MSP430FR6989 and they maintain high all the time.

Any recommendations?

You need an external 10kohm pull up on INTB and ERRB pins. Internal pull up resistor is usually very weak (~100k) and not sufficient. Thanks.

Unfortunately, i connected a 10k Ohm pull up resistor and the problem is still exist.

INTB is asserted by TDC7200 only at the end of a successful measurement completion. Also, it is asserted if one of the counters overflow. But first you have to set the START_MEAS bit through SPI to start the measurement. Are you doing this? Did you make sure the interrupts are enabled in the MCU as well as TDC7200? Please explain your setup as well.

ERRB is asserted by TDC1000 only on an error condition (like echo timeout or programmed NUM_RX is received).

Thank you, the issue solved when forcing the short TOF measurement mode. It seems that the very short distance between the two transducers was the source of the problem.
