What is the effect of impedance matching in TDC 1000 - TDC 7200 EVM ?

Hi,

I tested the EVM for flow measurement and was successful in measuring the delta TOF values. However, there was significant error in zero flow measurements. So i was wondering what would be the effect of impedance matching in these measurements. I tried checking the impedance match enable in the GUI but couldnt see any difference. Please help me to sort out this issue.

    Using an interface like the one ( TS3A44159) explained in the above document is optional. It helps especially when using low cost transducers where the mismatch between the transducers introduce offset and drift in the measured delta value.

    When you select impedance matching on the GUI, TDC1000-TDC7200EVM GPIO1 pin is used to generate PHASA/PHASB signal shown in Figure 9 of the above document. It acts as the MCU GPIO to control the switch.
