Use TDC1000-GASEVM with 500 kHz transducers

I am using TDC1000-GASEVM with 500 kHz transducers. I have changed C27 and C32 to 100 pF to obtained band-pass filter from 297 kHz to 1.6 MHz.

1. Regarding C36 (LNAOUT-PGAIN Cap), how to calculate the capacitance value? Is it a low or high pass filter? I can not find the equation in the manual.

2. Capacitive feedback and resistive feedback: what's the maximum frequency for the resistive feedback mode?

Hello Fan,

1. The capacitor C36 makes a high pass filter with the input resistor of the PGA (500 ohms).

2. The maximum resonant frequency of the transducer can be a couple of hundred kHz when using the resistive feedback mode.

There is a TINA spice model on the TDC1000 product page on the ti.com website that can be used to simulate the LNA and PGA section of the TDC1000.
