TDC1011Vth value, Temperature mode registers.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDC1000

Hi,

How to select the value of Vth, though it is totally depending on the ECHO_QUAL_THDL field in the CONFIG_3 register. So my question is on what parameters we should select the value of ECHO_QUAL_THDL or is there any  other way to select this Vth value?

I also need to know that if we are not using the temperature measurement mode then what will be the the value in registers TEMP_MODE, TEMP_RTD_SEL,

TEMP_CLK_DIV. Do i need to give some specific value or any given value can be treated as don't care?

You need to worry about these settings only if "MEAS_MODE = Temperature measurement" is chosen in CONFIG2 register. Otherwise, you can leave these settings default.

Please review section 8.4.4. of the TDC1000 Data Sheet. You can also go through this app note
    www.ti.com/.../snaa270.pdf

As discussed in the app note, monitor the START, STOP and COMPIN signals and understand the effect of various controls to arrive at an optimum setting for your measurement range.

    Thanks,
