TDC1000 / Stop signal

Hi,

My customer observed following waveforms.

1. What is trigger to rise up stop signal ?

It is not seem when the COMPOIN crosses with VCOM or the offset level of COMPIN.

    Or is this timing delay?

They also observed following waveforms.

2. As well, what is trigger to drop down stop signal ?

    Or is this timing delay?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • a) It is important to not load this pin. See this post about loading the pin while measuring the signal on it:

    b) What's the threshold level? Is it single echo mode? Please describe your setup and register settings.

    c) The signal that the comparator observes has a DC baseline at VCOM.

    d) Trigger to rise up is zero-crossing detection (echo signal rises above VCOM) after threshold exceeded. Trigger to drop down is when the echo amplitude falls below VCOM-Vhyst (see figures below from DS). Also, please check sectin 8.4.4 of the DS.

    Thanks,

    Vishy
