1) For the "TOF_MEAS_MODE", I was wondering where I could find a description of what Mode 0, Mode1, and Mode2 are. Looked in the user guide and didn't see it.

2) What is the difference between the TDC_SELECT options on the graphing page of the GUI (I.e., Start-Stop 1, VS Start-Stop 5 or Start-Stop 345). If there's a more detailed guide to the GUI that has this information please let me know and I will read that before posting questions.

3) How long can I make the wire leads to the transducer before I run into trouble with capacitance, etc? (Steminc 1MHz)

4) To change the detection threshold in the GUI, it's the "ECHO_QUAL-THLD" setting? The smaller the voltage the lower the threshold I assume.

1. You can find description of the different modes of operation of TDC1000 in the data sheet (link below)

2. TDC1000 and TDC7200 can support together up to 5 stop pulses generation and time measurement. TDC7200 has registers that can help you calculate time from START to STOP1 or STOP2, ..., or STOP5. By default, the GUI calculates the time from START to STOP1 and displays it. You can enable multiple stops generation and display of it using the TDC_SELECT option. STOP123 means START to average of STOP1, STOP2, and STOP3 duration. Multiple stops is useful in Flow Mode where TDC1000 "Single Echo" operation is used. Please refer to TDC1000 and TDC7200 Data Sheets.

3. I don't have a number on that. But keep it to about 6-inches.

4. Yes, you can use that. Please check this app note as well as read the TDC1000 DS

Hello,

can you please tell me if there is a user´s guide aviable for the TDC1000-TDC7200EVM GUI?
I know some of the functions, but there are also some things I don`t understant (meaning / function of some settings) e.g.: LNA_FB, LNA_CTRL, TX_FREQ_DIV (why divide by 8..12..?),.. and so on
